  • Based on your application, we may ask you which show you would prefer to host, or assign you to a show at a later date.
  • You may also be assigned to “on-call” status, and may be asked to fill in when a show’s primary or backup hosts are not available.

  • Players, the audience, everyone in the studio will look to you. It is your responsibility to guide us through the game from start to finish. You will introduce the show, explain the rules of the game, and encourage the contestant every step of the way.
  • If the contestant is doing poorly, you should build up excitement for what they could potentially win, and get the audience to cheer for them. In games where the outcome is not definite, a boost of confidence and excitement could be exactly what they need to come out on top.
  • You must have prior hosting experience in some capacity, whether it be a podcast, a YouTube show, a local event, and have audio or video available of yourself hosting.
  • We will give special consideration to applicants who have a voice suitable for radio or on-air broadcasting, or who have previous experience with running game show events, online or offline.
  • You must be able to respond adequately to unscripted events. Deal or No Deal, in particular, has a lot of these occur in some games, and you will be caught off guard. The production team will notify you about most unscripted events ahead of time, but there have been cases where even the host is kept in the dark.
  • You must be able to run the Virtual Paradise software on your PC or Mac. If you are new to BuzzIn and have never used this software before, we suggest you download and try it out on your computer to ensure it works properly. It’s safe to use; we know the developer, and he’s part of our community. You will probably meet him.
  • If you have hosted a live show within the last 60 days, you will be ineligible to play it as an on-air contestant, except in charity games, until at least 60 days have elapsed from the time you last hosted it.
  • You may be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement if the show you are assigned to has not yet been announced.
